Hokies to hold intrasquad scrimmage Friday night
Event free and open to the public

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech wrestling program will hold an intrasquad scrimmage Friday night inside Cassell Coliseum as a final prep before the regular season and to give fans a glimpse of the 2012-13 Hokie squad. The event, which is free to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m.

The event will also mark the debut of Tech’s new competition mat, fresh with a new color and design.

Thirteen matches, listed below, are scheduled to take place.

Tech will host the Hokie Open on Sunday, Nov. 4 at the Salem Civic Center to open the season before traveling to Raleigh, N.C. the following weekend for the Wolfpack Open. The Hokies will then open the dual meet portion of their schedule on Friday, Nov. 16 against nationally ranked Ohio State before hosting the Hokie Duals on Sunday, Nov. 18 where Wisconsin, Manchester and Campbell will be compete.
