2011-12: Took a redshirt year … Won the 125-pound title at the Harris Open, hosted by Ashland University, going 4-0 while wrestling unattached … Went 5-1 wrestling unattached at the Nittany Lion open to place fifth and placed second at the tough Midlands Championships … Won the 133-pound title wrestling unattached at the Appalachian State Open … Won the 133-pound bracket at the National Collegiate Open … Placed second at 60 kilos in the freestyle division of the 2012 University Nationals.

2010-11: Finished the season with a 30-9 overall record, qualifying as the No. 12 seed at the NCAA Championships … Went 5-0 in ACC dual meets and 17-5 in all dual mathces … Won his second ACC title … 2011 All-ACC … Took second at the Hokie Open and placed third at the Las Vegas Invitational … Had five major decisions, two technical falls and three pins … Picked up 72 team points in dual matches this season.

2008-09: Burst onto the national scene as a true freshman … Was ranked for a majority of the season in all three national polls … The ACC Rookie of the Year … Qualified for his first NCAA Tournament by placing second at the ACC Tournament … Went 2-2 at the Championships … Compiled a 38-8 mark, including a 5-0 mark in ACC dual meets … Led the team with 10 pins and scored 77 points for the team … Also had nine major decisions and five technical falls … Went 17-1 in dual meets … Opened his career by winning the Wolfpack Open, going 5-0 … Beat then-No. 12 Nikko Triggas of Ohio State, 7-1, in the semifinals … Won the Navy Classic … Placed fourth at the Las Vegas Invitational … Again beat then-No. 11 Triggas, this time 12-4 … Also beat then-No. 9 Marcos Orozco of UC Davis, 6-4 … Won his first 15 collegiate matches … Beat No. 14 Mike Watts of Michigan and major decisioned Scotti Sentes of Central Michigan and picked up two other wins that same weekend to earn ACC Wrestler of the Week honors on Jan. 27 … The VaSID Rookie of the Year … A second-team all-state selection at 125 pounds, as voted on by the state’s sports information directors … His 38 wins are the fourth-most in school history.
