NEW TRAFFIC PATTERNS


A grade-separated, diverging diamond interchange at the intersection of U.S. 460 and Southgate Drive is now open. Fans coming to Cassell Coliseum should take Exit 6 off of U.S. 460, take the second exit at the first roundabout and the first exit at the second roundabout to stay on Southgate Drive then turn left at the traffic signal on to Beamer Way.

Changes to Lot 1 Postgame Traffic Flow

  • Traffic exiting Lot 1 onto Beamer Way (near Lane Stadium) will only be allowed to turn right.
  • Traffic exiting Lot 1 onto Washington Street (near McComas) will only be allowed to turn left.
  • No traffic will be permitted to turn onto Beamer Way from Washington Street.

Public parking is free and located south of Lane Stadium (Chicken Hill/Lot 5).
Shuttles: Courtesy shuttles operate from lots 2 & 8. Shuttles run beginning 3 hours pregame and continue for 1 hour postgame.

From North or East: Interstate 81 South to exit 118B, following US 460 west to Blacksburg.
From South: Interstate 81 north to exit 118B, following US 460 west to Blacksburg
From West Virginia: Interstate 77 south (West Virginia Turnpike) to exit 9. Exit and turn left onto 460 east. Follow 460 east to Blacksburg.
Once in Blacksburg: Use the 460 bypass around the downtown area. Follow 460 bypass to Exit 6 Southgate Drive (Va. 314). Take the second exit at the first roundabout to stay on Southgate Drive. At the second roundabout, take the first exit to stay on Southgate Drive. A the traffic signal, turn left onto Beamer Way, Cassell Coliseum will be on your right.
