BLACKSBURG, Va. – Senior Chris Uhle set a personal best en route to a first-place finish to conclude the final day of the Virginia Tech Hokie Invitational.

On the men’s side, Uhle dominated in the pole vault with an impressive mark of 5.28 meters beating out his personal best set earlier this season. Uhle finished in first place while teammate Jared Allison finished in second with a mark of 4.98 meters

In the men’s 200-meter race, Tadashi Pinder and Dante Price finished in the third and fourth places, respectively. Pinder posted a time of 21.87 seconds while Price crossed the line at 22.01 seconds.

The team of Prince Owusu, Martin Dally, Tihut Degfae and Kevin DeWillie took a fourth place finish in the men’s 4x400 just beating out the other Hokie team consisting of Tadashi Pinder, Taylor Purdue, Marcus Finney and Dante Price who finished in fifth place.

On the women's side, Martina Schultze earned a third place finish in the women’s pole vault with a mark of 4.15 meters. Kristen Lee finished in fifth place with a jump of 3.75 meters.

Tech will take a week off from meets before they return back to Rector Fieldhouse to host the Doc Hale VT Elite Meet on Feb. 7-8.
