• 2013 First-Year Player Draft – 33rd-round selection by the Los Angeles Angels

2013: Appeared in five games making two starts … Posted an 0-2 record with a 15.88 ERA in a total of 5.2 innings and struck out six batters … In three relief appearances, had a 6.75 ERA in 2.2 frames … Threw at least 1.0 innings in two relief outings and did not allow an earned run in both of those … Struck out at least two batters twice … Pitched a total of three scoreless innings, two were perfect.

2012: Appeared in nine games overall and made five starts … Posted a 2-0 record – team was 5-0 in his five starts – and combined on two shutouts with a 3.57 ERA … Threw a total of 17.2 innings and struck out 24 batters … Opponents batted just .190 against him … Struck out at least two five times.

2011: Appeared in three games, making two starts … Posted a 12.46 ERA in 4.1 innings thrown with four strikeouts.

High School: Pitched for his father Coach Jack O’Keefe at Waterford High, earning varsity letters all four seasons … Was named the Gatorade player of the year, the Louisville Slugger player of the year and New Haven Register State player of the year after the 2010 season … He finished that senior year 8-1 with a sub-1.00 ERA with 115 strikeouts … Was earned 2009 and 2010 all-state honors … Earned two letters playing on the Lancers’ basketball team under Coach Don Berkel … Other honors include 2010 Rawlings/Perfect Game preseason All-American honorable mention and first-team Northeast Region.
