2008 – 2009 (at Indian River State College): Pitched just one season for the team and was its captain in 2009 … Pitched in 14 games, striking out 90 batters in 78 innings of work … Went 3-5 with a 6.23 ERA … Was given the Community Service Award from Coach Bob O’Brien … Batted in one game and went 3-for-4 with a home run.

High School: Played four years of varsity for coaches Scott Marabell and Bill Parum at Wolfson High in Jacksonville, Fla. … Led the team to the state championship game three times … Was named the Class 5A high school Player of the Year in 2006.
