Capital One Academic All-District 3 Selection

2015: Had a big senior year … Played in 56 games, starting 57 … Batted .271 with 39 hits, including a career-high 10 home runs … Also had four doubles and triple … Scored 28 runs and drove in 24 … Drew 18 walks and put down a team-high six sacrifice bunts … Had eight multiple-hit games and five multi-RBI games … Scored two game-winning runs and had a game-winning hit … A Capital One Academic All-District 3 Selection … A member of the 2015 All-ACC Academic Softball Team and the 2014-15 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2014: Made the move to the outfield late in the season, picking up several starts … Played in 28 games, starting 20 … Batted .216 with two doubles and two home runs … Had eight RBIs and eight runs scored … Drew five walks and stole two bases … Hit a home run to get the scoring started in Tech's 10-4 win over Syracuse in the ACC Tournament.

2013: Did not play for Stanford, taking a redshirt season.

2012: Played in 23 games, including 12 starts at catcher or in the outfield for Stanford … Two of her four hits on the season were doubles … Hit an RBI double in the season opener versus Cal State Northridge … Drew a walk and scored a run in the win over Nevada … Tied her career high with three walks versus FIU … Scored a run in the win over Ole Miss … Hit her second double of the year against Oregon … Registered a single as a pinch hitter against Washington … Drew a walk as a pinch hitter in the NCAA Tournament against Louisiana-Lafayette.

2011: An honorable mention All-Pac-10 Freshman Squad member for the Stanford Cardinal … Appeared in 50 games, making 45 starts … Saw most of her time at third base or in the outfield, but also saw time at first base and designated player … Hit .254 on the year with four doubles, four home runs and 23 RBIs … Posted a .385 slugging percentage and a .409 on-base percentage … Led the team with 30 walks, including 17 in conference play, which ranked second overall in the Pac-10 … Her first collegiate hit was a grand slam versus North Dakota State in the Stanford Nike Invitational … Hit a two-run home run in the team’s 2-1 win over Iowa … Tallied a season-high four hits against UC-Santa Barbara … Registered a three-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning against UC-Davis to give the team a come-from-behind victory … Drew a season-best three walks and tied her season high with two runs scored versus Oregon State … Registered her fourth home run of the year, a two-run shot, in the win at Oregon … Tied her season high with three walks at Oregon … Drew five walks and registered an RBI in the three-game series at No. 1 Arizona State … Registered a hit as a pinch hitter in the NCAA tournament win over Fresno State … Named an All-America scholar-athlete by the NFCA.

High School: Earned six letters for Coach Shelly Collins at Victor High School … Team was six-time league champions, two-time sectional champions and western regional champions … Team made two state tournament appearances … Honored as the 2010 All-Grater Rochester Player of the Year … A two-time Monroe County Player of the Year … A four-year Finger Lakes first team and a two-time all-state first team … Also played three years of volleyball and one year of basketball … Played travel ball for Coach Lou Bishop and the TC Tremors.

Personal: Michelle Lee Prong was born October 15, 1992 in Rochester, NY … The daughter of Dave and Laura Prong … Has a younger brother, Brett, who's a freshman at Tech … Graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human biology (concentration in Human Performance) … Graduated with a Master’s degree at Tech in public health in May, 2015.
