Emery has averaged 17.6 points in her first season in Blacksburg, scoring 20 or more in 14 different contests.
She was named the ACC’s Player of the Week on Feb. 12 after a week where she averaged 28.5 points helping the Hokies defeat North Carolina 90-74 in Chapel Hill. Emery scored 25 points and dished out six assists, her best mark of the season. Against rival Virginia, Emery scored 32 points, setting the new Virginia Tech record on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum in ACC games. She went 13 of 20 from the field, knocking down three 3-pointers.
In the Hokies’ win over Clemson, she recorded her first career double-double with 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Emery is the fourth Hokie to earn All-ACC honors, following Kerri Gardin (2006 Third Team), Brittany Cook (2008 Second Team) and Uju Ugoka (2014 Second Team).
