Hokies announce Hicks will step away from basketball

“Chanette Hicks will be stepping away from the basketball program so that she can deal with a personal matter,” head coach Kenny Brooks announced Wednesday afternoon. “A timetable for her return is indefinite and we look forward to supporting her in this endeavor as she deals with these circumstances.”

The Hokies go for their fifth ACC win of the season when they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels from Carmichael Arena tonight at 7 p.m. Coverage is available on ACC Network Extra.
