Catching up with Regan Magarity

Editor’s note: with 11 days until the start of the season, we caught up with No. 11 Regan Magarity

Q: What is your favorite class this semester and why?

Magarity: “My favorite class is advanced multimedia reporting. It’s a really fun class, we get to create our own videos so it’s a creative class.”

Q: What are you most looking forward to about the upcoming season?

Magarity: “Playing in Cassell Coliseum and just battling with my teammates is going to be really fun. Just to see our chemistry and go out on the court and compete every day.”

Q: Who is someone on the team that may surprise Hokie fans?

Magarity: Aisha Sheppard. She’s a really good guard, she shoots the ball extremely well, she’s really fun to watch.

Q: What have you done in the offseason to prepare for this year?

Magarity: “We’ve done a lot of individual work. For me personally, getting more patient and slowing the game down.”

Q: What is your go-to meal to eat before a game?

Magarity: “I love when we have Outback, with pasta and a baked potato.”

Q: If you didn’t play basketball what VT team would you try out for?

Magarity: “Volleyball.”

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

Magarity: “Hang out with friends, go to the movies or just relax.”

Q: Describe Kenny Brooks in a sentence

Magarity: “He is very honest and intense, so he focuses on details.”
