Editor’s note: with 23 days until the start of the season, we caught up with No. 23 Rachel Camp
Q: What are you most looking forward to about this season?
CAMP: “To come out, play hard and have a great time with my teammates and win games.”
Q: What is it going to be like playing at Cassell Coliseum again?
CAMP: “I can’t wait, it should be very fun and energetic.”
Q: How has this team progressed since summer workouts began?
CAMP: “I feel like we’ve progressed a lot since last year. We’ve improved in a lot of areas like team chemistry, and gotten more athletic with speed and quickness.”
Q: What are some of your best attributes on the court and how do they fit into Coach Brooks’ system?
CAMP: “The way I get up and down the court quickly works with his system because we want to play fast.”
Q: How do you balance being a student-athlete with trying to be a regular college student?
CAMP: “Really effective time management.”

Q: If you didn’t play basketball what VT team would you try out for?
CAMP: “The volleyball team, that’s the only other sport I ever played.”
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
CAMP: “I like to read sometimes and also watch TV.”

CAMP: “He’s a very caring person, you can tell that he cares about each of us.”
