BLACKSBURG – With the release of the ACC schedule on Thursday, the Virginia Tech 2017-18 women’s basketball schedule has been finalized.

“We are excited to release the ACC portion of our schedule,” Tech coach Kenny Brooks said. “The ACC is the toughest conference in the country, and it allows our fans to see some of the best teams compete in Cassell. Every night will be a challenge.”

Tech will once again face a difficult slate in the ACC, headlined with trips to Florida State, Louisville and Notre Dame as well as a home-and-home series with Miami. Tech also plays the University of Virginia twice during the regular season.

In the non-conference portion of the schedule, the Hokies will serve as hosts for Wagner, Auburn, USC Upstate, UCF, Radford, Maryland-Eastern Shore and High Point.

The Hokies will also head to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to compete in the Paradise Jam from Nov. 23-25 against Island Division opponents Drexel, Butler and West Virginia.

In the following week, Tech will make its first trip in program history to Champaign, Illinois to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Tech will look to extend its two-game winning streak as a part of the competition after defeating Nebraska 76-67 in 2016 and Penn State 64-59 in 2015.

Tech will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule on Dec. 16 at home against High Point before fall exams.

Following the conclusion of non-conference play, the Hokies will welcome NC State to Carillion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum on Dec. 28 to begin ACC play, followed by a home matchup with Boston College.

Additional league home games will be played against Pitt, Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia and Clemson.

The road portion of the schedule includes games at Louisville, Florida State, Virginia, Syracuse, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Notre Dame and the regular-season finale at Miami.

Fifteen of Tech’s 16 league contests will be televised, including 14 on ACC Network Extra. The Hokies’ Jan. 14 matchup at Florida State and Jan. 21 game at Virginia can be seen on Regional Sports Networks.
