Young signs professional contract in Romania
Former Hokie set to play for SCM Timisoara

BLACKSBURG – Former Virginia Tech women’s basketball player Hannah Young has signed a professional contract with SCM Timisoara in Romania. The Newcastle, Australia native suited up for the Hokies from 2012-2016, competing in 114 contests, making 79 starts. She averaged 6.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists over the course of her career in Blacksburg.
During her senior season in 2015-16, Young averaged a career-best 10.3 points, helping the Hokies win 18 games and reach the second round of the WNIT. Her 74 3-pointers that season ranks second-most in a single season in Tech women’s basketball history.
