BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech women’s basketball head coach Dennis Wolff announces that sophomore forwards Brittni Montgomery and LaTorri Hines-Allen have been granted their releases and will transfer at the end of the spring semester.
"We wish Brittni and Torri the best of luck as they pursue other opportunities," said Wolff. "We hope they find the right fit and school for them."
Montgomery averaged 2.1 points per game during her career with the Hokies while pulling down 2.6 rebounds. She had a career-high nine points this season against George Washington and a career-high 10 rebounds against Minnesota during the 2010-11 season.
Hines-Allen averaged 4.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game during her career, including 6.9 rebounds per game this past season. She set career-highs this season with 17 points against Florida State and 16 rebounds versus Clemson.
