CLEMSON, S.C. -- Virginia Tech placed three players in double figures and had a good night at the free throw line in recording a, 68-56, win Monday night in Littlejohn Coliseum. The victory snapped a nine-game ACC losing streak and was the Hokies second consecutive win to improve to 11-14 on the year and 1-9 in the conference. Clemson fell to 10-16 overall and 3-8 in the league.

The Hokies were led in scoring by Shanel Harrison (Jr., Washington, D.C.) with 18 points, followed by Nikki Davis (Sr., Lexington, Ken.) with a season-high 17 points with six assists. Monet Tellier (Fr., Charlotte, N.C.) chipped in 12 points.

Clemson was led by Kirstyn Wright with 18 points, while Jasmine Tate and Lindsey Mason added 16 and 13 points, respectively. Mason added a game-high 12 rebounds.

Tech, which has struggled at the free throw all season, had a good night at the charity stripe connecting on 20-of-27. The Hokies committed 23 turnovers, but forced 20 Clemson miscues which Tech converted into 18 points.

The Hokies shot 45.8 percent (22-48) from the field while limiting the Tigers to only 29.2 percent (19-65), including 4-of-24 from behind the arc.

The Hokies return to action Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum when they play host to NC State.
