Head Coach Bonnie Henrickson
"Offensively, certainly we were very pleased about how aggressively we came out, for Carrie Mason to knock down the first three and for Ieva [Kublina] to back that up. I thought we caught it and shot it pretty well and then we started to put it on the floor and drop an extra pass. We were unselfish, as this group has been all year."

On the offense:
"For Carrie Mason and Ieva Kublina to get that kind of start, that's contagious. The confidence those two bring and the confidence that their teammates have in both of those two is contagious. Executing in a half-court offense and then creating offense from our defense, I thought, just gave us tremendous momentum in the first half. I think both teams were good enough to be opportunistic, but if it became a half-court game that both teams could execute the half-court offense. We don't want to be one-dimensional."

On the defense:
"I thought we defended well. We really tried to be disciplined. Lillis, I thought, had a great night and we knew going in that that would be a match-up problem for us, because she is a good post player and can put it on the floor. Ieva defended her better than I had anticipated. I thought we defended some tendencies, I thought we pressured and it tried to push the offense out toward the hash marks. They are very efficient, and we had defended the triangle [offense] before, but nobody that runs it the way Iowa does and, I think, as efficiently as they did."

Student-Athlete Carrie Mason
"The last couple of weeks we have worked on our offense a lot and today we were just able to make the extra pass and we were ready to shoot when we caught the ball this time. We weren't caught off guard by people shooting. We took the open shots and took what they gave us, and we were able to knock them down."

On Ieva Kublina:
"I think it takes the pressure off everybody else. When Ieva is hitting shots, they have to concentrate more on her because she is such a threat, inside and outside. The way she hits shots, it opens up opportunities for everyone else."

On Iowa cutting the Tech lead to seven:
"I think we had to pick it up defensively. We created offense from our defense and we had a couple of possessions where we slacked off and they are good enough that they can capitalize on that. So when we picked it up defensively and Ieva put in those two real big free throws, we kind of gained the momentum back."

Student-Athlete Ieva Kublina
On getting off to an early lead:
"I think it was very important because Iowa is a very good team. We realized we had to come out and play hard because we realized if we dug ourselves a hole it would be hard to recover. So, we just tried to come out and play hard. I think [the two three-point baskets] gave me confidence for the rest of the game."

On the offense:
I think the guards did a really good job of passing the ball to the posts. They were good at making the extra pass, which made some of the shots easy for us. Before the game, I realized that even if my shot wasn't going to go in that I would still have to stay aggressive and confident."
