wins and advanced to the postseason for the ninth consecutive season.

The CAA champion Dukes won their first NCAA tournament game since

1991 with a 72-63 victory over No. 6 Gonzaga in the round of 64. In her

first season (2010-11) as a coach at JMU, the Dukes won the Colonial

Athletic Association championship and played in the NCAA Tournament. In

her second season (2011-12) JMU advanced to the championship game

of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, and in her third (2012-13)

the Dukes were WNIT quarterfinalists.

Brown played for the Dukes from 2006-08, helping JMU to a 51-16
