2010: Started all 32 matches as a freshman, appearing in all 120 sets … Notched 107 total blocks on the season, which ranks fourth all-time at Virginia Tech among freshmen … Finished the season ranked second in the ACC among freshmen in blocks per set, averaging 0.89, while leading all ACC freshmen in block assists and total blocks … Ranked third in the ACC among freshmen, hitting .251 on the season, with 165 kills, 107 blocks, 51 digs, 10 aces and two assists … Set a new all-time record for blocks in a 3-set match, stuffing 10 against Towson on Sept. 18 … Led the Hokies in blocks 13 times and in hitting percentage eight times … Notched double-digit kills in three different matches … Became the first Hokie to win ACC Freshman of the Week honors on Oct. 18, after hitting .414 with 17 kills and 10 blocks against Duke and Wake Forest, earning seven kills and seven blocks against the first-place Blue Devils … Named to the ACC All-Freshman team, marking the fifth consecutive season that a Hokie earned All-Freshman honors.
