2015: Named to the Indiana Invitational all-tournament team … Started all 32 matches … Led the team in total blocks with 143 to rank fifth in Tech’s single-season records … Ranks eighth in Tech history for career blocks with 376 … Averaged 1.17 blocks per set, placing her 10th in the ACC … Posted 190 kills, fourth most on the team … Attacked at a .330 clip to lead the Hokies and place 10th in the conference … Had 12 matches with an attack percentage above .400: East Tennessee State (.429), Miami of Ohio (.538), Butler (.455), Bowling Green (.667), Liberty (.462), Pittsburgh (.636 and .444), Virginia (.500). Personal: Ashley Nicole Battle… Born Dec. 3, 1994 in Raleigh, N.C…. Daughter of Alvin and Debbie Battle… has one sister, Amber who plays basketball at the University of Richmond… Both parents played basketball at NC State and father, Alvin was a member of the 1983 national championship team… Double majoring in Communications, Public Relations and Business Marketing.
