Hokies softball announces date for inaugural Leadoff Banquet

Fans will be treated to a full evening that celebrates the start of the 2017 season

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech softball program will officially kick-off the 2017 season with its inaugural Leadoff Banquet, which will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. in the west club of Lane Stadium’s south end zone.

Space is limited and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund.

"The Virginia Tech Softball Leadoff Banquet is a great way to connect with our loyal, and new, Hokie softball fans,” said head coach Scot Thomas “People will have a chance to meet some of our players and we’ll give you an inside look at the 2017 season. It’s going to be a fun evening that also helps support our student-athletes.”

Attendees will be treated to dinner, a silent auction, trivia with prizes and a panel discussion with the players and Coach Thomas. The event will be hosted by Virginia Tech legends Bill Roth and Mike Burnop.
