WILLIAMSBURG, Va. JD Mundy’s three-run home run in the fifth inning gave the Virginia Tech baseball team a one-run lead, however the William & Mary Tribe outscored the Hokies 10-1 from that point on and registered a 19-10 victory at its home field Plumeri Park on Wednesday night.

Mundy stepped to the plate in the fifth with Sam Fragale and Nick Anderson, who were both hit by pitches, on base. Mundy, who’d already hit two doubles in the game, sent a 1-1 pitch over the left field wall for his second home run of the season.

The home run gave Tech a 9-8 lead after the Hokies had trailed 7-2 in the second.

The Tribe, though, answered with five runs of its own in the bottom half of the fifth and held Tech to just a single run over the last four frames.
