2013: Redshirted the season.

High School: Earned varsity letters all four years while playing for Coach Randal Bisno at Carmel … Also was a three-time first team all-league selection, while earning a pair of all-county honors … Was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year in 2011 after going 6-0 with a 1.35 ERA allowing just 20 hits in 42 innings pitched … In 2012, was 5-0 with a 1.70 ERA in 41 innings … Finished his high school career on the mound with a 16-2 record … Threw a perfect game as a sophomore and a no-hitter as a junior … Also played football for the Padres, earning two varsity letters as a wide receiver, defensive back and kicker.
