BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team tallied three singles victories in two different flights on the second day of the Virginia Fall Invitational, held at the Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Juniors Caroline Daxhelet and Sarah Baron along with sophomore Emily Pence each capture one singles matches on the day to advance within their respective brackets.
"The ladies put up a great effort today," said assistant coach Will Davis. "They all showed that they grew from their matches yesterday and put what they learned into play today. I know the girls grew today as well, and I can't wait to see them play tomorrow and show their fire."
In the Blue Singles Flight, Daxhelet fell to South Carolina’s Silvia Chinellato in straight sets by a score of 7-6, 6-3.
