Virginia Tech junior forward, Murielle Tiernan, scored Tech’s second goal of the Longwood match and in doing so, recorded her 30th career goal ... She now has 32 career goals ... In the loss to No. 3 UNC, Tiernan scored her 32nd goal and in doing so, set a new school record for career points, with 77.

Ashley’s Not Far Behind

Virginia Tech senior midfielder, Ashley Meier, scored her 28th career goal in Tech’s win over Davidson ... That puts her alone in third place on the Virginia Tech all-time goals list ... She enters Thursday’s match tied with former teammate Shannon Mayrose for fourth place in career points, with 67 ... Meier has 164 career shots, sixth place on Virginia Tech’s all-time list.
