Hokies sign Nora Wrenger
Germany native to join women's golf program in Fall 2018

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Virginia Tech women’s golf coach Carol Robertson announced that Nora Wrenger has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Hokies for the 2018-19 season.
“We are so excited to welcome another national team player to our Hokie roster,” Robertson said. “Nora is not only talented at golf, but a fantastic student and we look forward to her contribution to our bright future.”
Wrenger comes to Virginia Tech from Munich, Germany. She was a member of the German National Team from 2014-2016 and was second in the 2015 German National Championship in match play. Wrenger won the 2017 Bavarian Open Ladies Championship and finished second in the 2014 Czech International Junior Amateur Championship. In 2017, she placed third in the European Junior Championship, fifth in the International Match Play Trophy, sixth in the Luxembourg Ladies Amateur Championship and eighth in the German Girls Championship.
She graduated from Bertolt-Brecht-Schule Nuremberg, Elite School of Sports in 2017, where she had the highest grade point average among girls at the school. She is the daughter of Anke Wrenger.
Wrenger joins Keera Foocharoen from Bangkok, Thailand, who signed with the Hokies in November, in the 2017-18 Virginia Tech women’s golf signing class.
