The Virginia Tech women’s golf team is set to tee up its fourth event of the season on Oct. 17-18, at the Brook Valley Country Club, in Greenville, North Carolina.
The par 72 course is 6,831 yards in length, as the 54-hole tournament will see competitors play two rounds on Monday, followed by one round on Tuesday. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start.
The Greenville Regional Preview, hosted by East Carolina, features 15 competitors: Augusta, Campbell, Clemson, Colorado State, Coastal Carolina, Denver, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Oregon and TCU.
The Hokies lineup consists of senior Whitney Stevenson, sophomores Elizabeth Bose and Anne Taylor Hough, redshirt sophomore Amanda Hollandsworth and freshman Jessica Spicer. Freshman Katie Muscatello also will compete as an individual.
Bose is coming off two career-high finishes, as the Norfolk, Virginia, native finished third at the Starmount Fall Classic on Oct. 4. Hailing from Floyd, Virginia, Hollandsworth also played well at the Lady Paladin Invitational, finishing fourth overall on Sept. 25, her best finish as a Hokie.
As a team, Tech finished tied for second out of an 11-team field at the Starmount Fall Classic. The second-place finish was the best for the Hokies in their two seasons of competition.
