BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team will begin its second season of varsity competition in 2016-17. The Hokies will open play under head coach Carol Robertson at the Mercedes Benz Championship, held on Sept. 12-13, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In their inaugural season, the Hokies finished 12th at the 2016 ACC Championship held in Greensboro, North Carolina. Five letterwinners return, including senior Allison Woodward.
The Hokies also welcome five newcomers to the 2016-17 roster: Kristin Hearp, Mary-Katelyn Holanek, Katie Muscatello, Jessica Spicer and Sarah Spicer.
