BLACKSBURG – Former Hokie volleyball player and 2016 Virginia Tech graduate Kennedy Bryan has signed a contract to play professional volleyball in Palmi, Italy for the club Golem Volley.

Bryan becomes the 11th Tech player under head coach Chris Riley to play professionally overseas.

“Playing professionally was always a dream of mine but throughout college that’s all it seemed like it would be,” said Bryan. “But during my final year at Virginia Tech I matured as a player and person. Towards the end of my senior season, becoming a professional didn’t seem so far out of my reach. Playing for Golem Volley is the perfect fit for me.”

The Alpharetta, Georgia native posted a .270 hitting percentage, 277 kills and 83 digs in what was a career senior season. She also racked up the third most-blocks on the squad with 74 to go along with seven service aces. Bryan went on a run in ACC play where she tallied double-digit kills in five-straight matches.
