The last time out, Tech split up and went to three meets. Redshirt sophomore Peter Seufer earned his first event title of the season, claiming the 5,000-meter race at the Music City Challenge on Feb. 8, while on Feb. 9, redshirt senior Patrick Joseph (800 meters) and junior Rachel Pocratsky (mile) earned event crowns in Nashville as well.

Pocratsky was named ACC Women’s Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. The junior broke the school record in the mile at the Music City Challenge, crossing the finish line in 4 minutes, 34.01 seconds to place first.

It marked the third event title for Pocratsky, as well as her second ACC Performer of the Week honor this season. Pocratsky’s time in the mile is one of seven times and marks that rank in the top-50 nationally on the women’s side.

The men currently own nine times and marks that rank in the top-50 nationally in the traditional events, including Vincent Ciattei’s time in the mile being No. 6.
