Hokies split up at Raleigh Relays and Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
Throwers to compete at Texas while runners head to Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. - Several Virginia Tech distance runners and sprinters will be heading to the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University.

The women’s 1500-meter race will feature several of the Hokies’ top distance runners. Hanna Green, fresh off of an ACC Championship win in the 800, will be competing along side teammates Amanda Smith and Hilary Krein at the meet.

Paige Kvartunas, Sarah Rapp and Shannon Morton will be featured in the women’s 5000-meter race.

Ama-Selina Tchume and Courtney Blanden will be competing in the women’s 100-meter dash. Both Thcume and Blanden are seeded in the top 30 of a field that will feature almost 125 athletes.

Shanel Burr and Nora McKiver, both seeded in the top 15, will be featured in the women’s 100-meter hurdles.

Stuart Robertson who finished in second in the 5000 at the ACC Indoor Championships, will be competing in the same event at the Raleigh Relays.

The men’s 100-meter dash will feature Darius Watkins, seeded fifth, and Dante Price, seeded seventh. The race will feature 115 competitors.

AUSTIN, Texas - Marek Barta, Irena Sediva and Eva Vivod will open up their 2015 outdoor season at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Barta will be competing in the discus while Sediva and Vivod will compete in the women’s javelin throw.
