KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A small group of Hokies headed to the Sea Ray Relays today to compete in the pole vault and high jump at Tom Black Track. Redshirt junior Leigh Allin was Tech's top finisher as she finished seventh in the pole vault.

After passing on the first two heights, Allin cleared both 11-6.75 (3.50m) and 11-11.75 (3.65m) on her first attempts, but that was where her day came to an end.

Erinn Schaal and Lyndsey Saunders each finished in 18th place. Both Hokies cleared 10-6 (3.20m) on their third attempts at the height, but were unable to clear the next height.

Matt Hoogland in the men's pole vault and Johnna Dominick in the women's high jump could not clear the starting heights and were unable to advance.

The Hokies will head to Raleigh, N.C., next week for the ACC Outdoor Track and Championships beginning on Thursday.
