KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The women’s pole vaulters kicked off the weekend for the Hokies at the Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee. Kristen Brown was Tech’s highest finisher, placing fourth with a new personal best of 12-9.5 (3.90m), which ties her for fourth all-time at Tech in the outdoor women’s pole vault. Also competing for the Hokies in the women’s pole vault were Caitlin Thornley in 12th (11-11.75, 3.65m) and Emma DeJarnette in 17th (11-5.75, 3.50m).
The men’s pole vaulters will wrap up weekend competition for the Hokies tomorrow beginning at 2:30 p.m.
