RESULTS

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore Kaylea Arnett of the Virginia Tech swimming and diving program earned Honorable Mention All-America honors to score for the second-straight year on the platform to close out the 2013 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday at the IU Natatorium. She placed 11^th with a score of 301.10 to earn six more points for the H₂Okies.

In addition to Arnett, five other H₂Okies competed today. Sophomore Kelli Stockton and senior Logan Kline took 18^th and 24^th, respectively, in the platform event. Stockton tallied a score of 244.80, while Kline finished her collegiate career with a score of 255.80.

Senior Heather Savage swam her final race for Tech. The All-American touched the wall at the 1:58.66 mark to place 33^rd in the 200 butterfly. The H₂Okies had two freshmen compete in the 200 breaststroke. Weronika Paluszek took 24^th with a time of 2:10.99, while Alyssa Bodin placed 52^nd with a time of 2:17.78.

Tech finished the competition with 26 points to place 24^th overall, ahead of two ACC schools. North Carolina led the conference as it finished 12^th, while Virginia followed in 18^th. Florida State came in 32^nd and NC State placed 37^th.

Tech will return to Indianapolis Thursday, March 28 with a 10-man roster for the NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium.
