BLACKSBURG, Va. - Heading into the weekend with 139 points already thanks to the four H2Okie divers, the Virginia Tech men’s swim team will travel down to Greensboro, N.C., for the 2013 ACC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday, Feb. 27. Competition will begin with the 200 medley relay at 6 p.m. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

COMING OFF A SECOND-PLACE SHOWING

Last season, Virginia Tech recorded its best program finish at the ACC Championships, placing second. The H2Okies fell to the Virginia Cavaliers by just 32 points, the smallest winning margin in the meet since 2006. Virginia Tech had five ACC Champions and 13 All-ACC performances.

Diver Logan Shinholser won the ACC Men’s Diver of the Year award and the ACC’s Most Valuable Diver. As a junior, he won both springboard events and took the silver on the platform.

Head Coach Ned Skinner was tabbed the ACC Men’s Coach of the Year and was the first Tech coach to do so since joining the conference in 2004.
