WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Lady H₂Okies finished up the 2010 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships with a 24th-place finish, earning 26 points. With three individual competitors on the final day, the H₂Okies’ highest finish came from sophomore Erika Hajnal, who finished 30^th in the 1650 free, clocking in at 16:25.00.

Also competing in the 1650 free was junior Lauren Ritter. Ritter earned a 35^th-place finish at the Championships with a time of 16:34.29.

The Lady H₂Okies’ final competitor was freshman Katarina Filova, who finished the 100 free in 49.80, good for 39^th-place.

Hajnal also finished eighth in the 400 IM on Friday, earning All-American status. Filova took 14th in the 200 freestyle on day two. Hajnal and Filova also teamed with Kelly deMarrais and Lauren Ritter to earn a 10th-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay on Friday.

"The women's 800 free relay was our best relay finish ever at NCAA's," said H₂Okies' head coach Ned Skinner. "The four women achieved honorable mention All-American status and 14 team points for their efforts. Erika and Katarina also contributed more individual points and helped propel us to a top 25 finish. We are very proud of these ladies. They represented our program
with class and raced very hard. We had a great experience."
