Responsibilities: Dillard assists with the design and implementation of the strength and conditioning programs for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. During basketball season, Dillard’s primary responsibility becomes working with the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team.

Joined VT Staff: 2012

Prior to Virginia Tech: Dillard has worked in the Virginia Tech athletics department since he graduated from the school in 2009. He worked as an intern with the strength and conditioning program from 2010-2012.

Education: Virginia Tech, 2009 (B.S. in residential property management).

Of Note: Dillard joined Virginia Tech’s football team as a walk-on in 2005 after a distinguished career at Bassett [Va.] High School and later earned a scholarship. He took a redshirt year that season and did not see any action in 2006. In 2007, he played in 13 games, mostly on special teams., but in July of 2008, he suffered a torn Achilles and missed the entire season.

Personal: A native of Martinsville, Va., Dillard lives in Blacksburg.
