GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech’s Scott Vincent has been named the ACC Men’s Golfer of the Month for February.
Vincent tied for medalist honors at the season-opening Puerto Rico Classic, which featured nine teams in the top 50 nationally. He defeated three of the top 10 individuals in the tournament. A senior from Harare, Zimbabwe, Vincent held the individual lead after the first round and carded a final-round 4-under-par 68 to claim co-medalist honors in the event. He tied Dru Love of Alabama at 7-under-par 209.
It marked the first medalist honors of the season for Vincent, who now has five top 10 finishes this year and four individual victories for his career. This is the second time that Vincent has earned the award. He was previously named Golfer of the Month in September, 2013
