BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech golfers Scott Vincent and Trevor Cone are among six choices for Golfweek’s best 1-2 punch in men’s college golf, as can be found on the Golfweek website, Golfweek.com.
Golfweek is encouraging fans to vote for the best 1-2 punch. The other groups include UCLA’s Jonathan Garrick and Lorens Chan; Illinois’ Brian Campbell and Thomas Detry; Georgia Tech’s Ollie Schniederjans and Anders Albertson; Alabama’s Robby Shelton and Tom Lovelady; and Virginia’s Denny McCarthy and Derek Bard.

Cone, a senior from Concord, North Carolina, leads the Hokies in stroke average with a 70.91 average, and he has three top-10 finishes this fall. Vincent, a senior from Harare, Zimbabwe, ranks third with a 72.18 average, and he has three top-20 finishes.
The Hokies return to competition Sunday at the UNCG Bridgestone Invitational held in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Grandover Resort.
