Chalkley tied for 11th entering final round of State Open

Hokie golfer Bryce Chalkley has a three round total of even-par 213 and is tied for 11th place at the 2013 State Open of Virginia. The tournament is being played at the par 71, 7,026 Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va.

Chalkley, a rising senior from Richmond, Va., shot a one-over-par 72 in the third round on Saturday. He is 12 strokes behind leader Jay Woodson. Chalkley birdied two holes on the front nine and made the turn at one-over-par, but bogeyed two holes on the back nine and carded his 72.

Mikey Moyers enters the final round tied for 19th place. He has a three round total of 214 after a two-over-par 73 on Saturday. Moyers completed his eligibility at Virginia Tech this past spring.

Moyers tees off in his final round on Sunday morning at 8:20 a.m. Chalkley will tee off 20 minutes later.
