Basketball season ticket renewals available in mid-June

Increased demand expected for the upcoming seasons

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has announced season ticket renewals for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons will begin mid-June.

Season ticket prices for men’s and women’s basketball games remain the same as last season.

Popular incentives for season ticket holders return and the variety of ticket options continue to allow fans to customize multiple areas of their in-game experience. New this season are payment plans. Season ticket buyers may select to pay for their ticket purchase in four installments, with the first charge occurring on the date of renewal. The second payment will occur on July 31, the third on August 31 and the final installment will occur on Sept. 28.

Hokie Club donors who did not buy men’s basketball season tickets last year, but would like to, are eligible to request season tickets during the mid-June – July 19 window. Due to the increasing demand for season tickets and dependent upon renewals, certain price levels may not be available once seat selections begin in August. Therefore, new season ticket purchases will not be considered fulfilled until the seat selection process. Any Hokie Club members wishing to purchase season tickets are encouraged to do so between mid-June – July 19 to ensure participation in the seat selection process. Should any returning season ticket holders wish to add more tickets to their order, the location of those additional seats will be determined during seat selections.

Season tickets can be renewed by visiting HokieTickets. Renewals are available online, in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Lane Stadium or by calling the ticket office during business hours (M-F, 9-5 PM).

Benefits from purchasing either men’s or women’s basketball season tickets or both include savings over individual game tickets, option to purchase mini plans, single game tickets and ACC Tournament ticket books before the public, Hokie Club priority points, in-game recognitions, exclusive items and giveaways and more.

“The continued growth of our men’s and women’s basketball programs has been inspiring,” Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. “The strides both programs made last season is catching the college basketball world’s attention. The recent physical enhancements to Cassell Coliseum, in addition to the on-court improvement, have made attendance at Virginia Tech Basketball a must. We strive to make the fan experience the best in the nation.”

MEN’S BASKETBALL

The popular tiered ticket-pricing returns, with flexibility in price options. “The Paint” section sold out last season and is expected to do so again this year. The mid-range areas, “High Post”, are priced at $475 and “The Top of the Key” are priced at $400, and “Beyond the Arc” are $220 for a season’s seat.

The Hokies are coming off another exceptional season. The team finished the season 21-12 overall and 10-8 in the ACC. Tech earned its second consecutive NCAA bid and posted its third consecutive 20-win season. Tech was 14-4 at home. Tech returns six of its top seven scorers, returns Ty Outlaw and welcomes a top 25 recruiting class.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

For women’s basketball games, season tickets are available for $100 for an adult reserved seat ($90 for faculty/staff), $40 for a youth reserved seat, $80 for an adult general admission season pass and $35 for a youth general admission season pass.

Last season, Kenny Brooks led the Hokies back into the post-season and advanced to the finals of the WNIT. The Hokies finished the season 23-14 overall and 6-10 in the ACC, marking the second consecutive 20-win season.

Additional benefits for purchasing women’s basketball season tickets include free parking adjacent to Cassell Coliseum, exclusive giveaways, opportunities for messages on the video board, and more.

• Mid-June: Season Ticket Renewals and Hokie Club New Orders Available

• June 30: Giving Deadline for Men’s Basketball Benefits

• July 19: Priority Seating Deadline

• August: Seat selections begin

• September: Men’s basketball public season ticket sales, if available
