November 2, 2017
Additional information has been released for the “Hoops 4 Hurricane Relief” exhibition contest between South Carolina and Virginia Tech on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena, including broadcast information for the matchup.
Sunday’s matchup against the Gamecocks will be broadcast digitally on SEC Network+. The SEC Network+ broadcast will feature both Hokies head coach Buzz Williams and Gamecocks head coach Frank Martin for commentary during the matchup.
Sunday’s exhibition event will raise funds for those impacted by the recent storms, as net proceeds from the game will support hurricane relief efforts in Texas, South Florida and Puerto Rico. Tickets for the game are $10 for a general admission seat, and can be purchased online or by calling the South Carolina Ticket Office at 1-800-4SC-FANS. Fans who donate $250 or more will receive two premium seats for the matchup.
Additionally, Martin and Williams encourage fans to make a donation online. Funds raised from the game on Nov. 5, and the online donations will be directed to organizations benefiting the affected areas.
Both coaching staffs and members of each program have deep ties to the affected areas. Martin is a native of South Florida and Williams is a native Texan. Virginia Tech associate head coach Steve Roccaforte is a Beaumont, Texas, native who had family and close friends directly impacted by the devastation, and Gamecock assistant Chuck Martin had family members in Puerto Rico impacted as well.
Single game tickets for Virginia Tech non-conference games are on sale now for $20 each. An extremely limited number of season tickets and mini plans remain. There are fewer than 50 season tickets left in Cassell Coliseum - the only way to ensure admission to all 18 home games. There are a limited number of mini plans available and based on those sales to date, the ticket office is expecting to be sold out of many ACC games before reaching the on-sale dates in mid-December.
Hokie fans planning to attend conference games are encouraged to purchase a season ticket or mini plan to guarantee a ticket to ACC games.
Mini Plan options include the 5 Game Flex Plan ($150 for five games) and the
And One Plan ($100 for four games). To purchase tickets, visit HokieTickets.com.
