The Hokies take on fourth-ranked Iowa State in the semifinals of the Emerald Coast Classic on Friday night. The game, which tips at 7 p.m. ET, will be played at The Arena in Niceville, Florida and will be televised live by the CBS Sports Network.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies enter tonight’s game 3-1 on the season ... Iowa State is 3-0 this season … The Cyclones are ranked fourth in the AP poll and fifth in the USA Today coaches poll … Tonight’s game is a semifinal game of the 2015 Emerald Coast Classic.

Last Time Out: VT 90, NCA&T 60

The Hokies defeated North Carolina A&T, 90-60, on Tuesday night in Cassell Coliseum … Zach LeDay recorded his thord double-double in four games with 26 points and 12 rebounds … Chris Clarke added 14 points and Justin Bibbs scored 12 points in the victory … Tech had 17 assists and out rebounded the Aggies, 41-33.

Series Against The Cyclones

This is the second meeting all-time with the Cyclones … Tech won the previous meeting, 80-53, in the Volunteer Classic in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1984 … The Hokies are 39-53 all-time against current members of the Big 12 Conference.

Wilson Returns

Junior guard Devin Wilson had missed the Hokies’ first three games due to a left groin injury … He returned to action in the win over NC A&T, playing 23 minutes.

Another Big Day for LeDay

Zach LeDay tied a career-high with 26 points and 12 rebounds in the win over NC A&T and, in doing so, extended his double-figure scoring streak to four games ... He recorded his third double-double in the Hokies’ four games this season ... It is the first time a Hokies has had consecutive double-doubles since Jarell Eddie achieved the feat on Nov. 26 (14 points, 10 rebounds against Furman) and 29 (13 points, 10 rebounds vs. Radford), 2013.

On the Road

Tonight will be the Hokies’ first game away from the Virginia Tech Carilion Court at Cassell Coliseum this season ... Tonight and tomorrow mark two of the Hokies’ three neutral court games this season ... Tech was 2-2 in neutral court games last season ... Tech will play St. Joseph’s in the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on Dec. 22 ... The Hokies will play just one true non-conference road game this season, as they travel across the New River to face Radford on Dec. 9.

Really Young Again This Season

The Hokies once again this season field one of the youngest teams in the nation ... According to kenpom.com, Tech is 326 out of 350 NCAA Division I teams in experience, at just 1.10 years per player ... Tech is 14th out of 15 ACC teams in experience ... Tech has just one senior and only one player, junior Devin Wilson, who was on the squad two years ago ... Wilson missed the first three games of the season with a left groin strain.

Rise and Give Me 20

Zach LeDay scored 26 points in the first game of the season and followed that with 26 points in the fourth game, Tuesday night’s win over NC A&T ... In doing so, he becomes the first Tech player with 25-or-more points in two of the first four games of the season since Erick Green scored 20-or-more in all four of the first four games of the 2012-13 season, including games of 25 points and 26 points.
