Virginia Tech at #6/7 Duke Game Notes

Virginia Tech travel to No. 6/7 Duke for a Tuesday night game. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. and be televised live by ESPNU.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies are 9-17 on the season and 2-12 in ACC action.

The Blue Devils are 22-6 overall and 11-4 in the ACC after an 80-66 home win over Syracuse on Saturday night.

Duke is ranked sixth in the AP poll and seventh in the coaches poll

The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 42-8.

NC State 71, VT 64

The Hokies lost to NC State, 71-64, on Saturday afternoon in Cassell Coliseum.

Devin Wilson and Jarell Eddie led the Hokies with 14 points each.

Tech outshot and outrebounded the Wolfpack in the loss.

Setting a New Standard

Devin Wilson set a new Virginia Tech freshman record in the to Virginia. He now has 123 assists this season, the most ever for a Tech freshman, breaking the old mark of 113, set by Hank Thorns in the 2007-08 season.

Scoring 1,100

Jarell Eddie currently has 1,106 points at Virginia Tech and is 38th in career scoring for the Hokies.

Injury Update

Adam Smith (left calf strain) is out for tonight’s game. Ben Emelogu (left ankle) and Cadarian Raines (left ankle) are questionable for tonight’s game.

ACC Legend

Bobby Stevens has been named Virginia Tech’s “ACC Legend” for 2014.

The Hokies return to Cassell Coliseum on Saturday to host nationally-ranked North Carolina on Senior Day. The game, televised on The ACC Network, will tip at 2:30 p.m.
