Marshall Wood led the Hokies with a career-high tying 14 points and Joey van Zegeren scored a career-high 11 points.

Ben Emelogu also scored 11 points for the Hokies, who were held to just 3-of-15 from three-point range

Rankin Leaves Team

Junior guard Marquis Rankin has decided to leave the team, effective immediately, but will remain at Virginia Tech as a student.

Jarell Eddie scored just four points in the loss to UNCG, snapping an ACC-long streak of 14 double-figure scoring games.
