Q: Why did you choose Virginia Tech?
KELLEHER: “I chose Virginia Tech because it’s a good school academically and athletically. All of the alumni and people who attend are really happy and enjoy their time here.”
Q: What was your favorite thing about your visit?
KELLEHER: “I enjoyed meeting the girls on the team because it made me feel more comfortable about coming here.”
Q: What do you like about Coach Sung and the lacrosse program?
KELLEHER: “I like how we’re still rising and that every player has an impact on what’s happening to our program.”
Q: What are some of your strengths on the field?
KELLEHER: “I compete.”
Q: Who is your favorite professional lacrosse player?
KELLEHER: “My favorite professional lacrosse player is Alice Mercer because she’s the best defender and I trained with her in the summer. She has a lot of knowledge.”
Q: What is your most memorable lacrosse moment and why?
KELLEHER: “The most memorable moment would be when I tore my ACL because it made me cherish playing sports so much more.”
Q: What do you think you’ll major in and why does it interest you?
KELLEHER: “I’m majoring in business and I like it because there are a lot of options in the real world.”
Q: What has been your favorite part about Virginia Tech so far?
KELLEHER: “My favorite part about Virginia Tech so far is the fans. The fans love the school so much. Everyone gets so excited for football games and campus is always packed which I think is really cool.”

Q: If you couldn’t play college lacrosse, what other team would you try out for?
KELLEHER: “I played field hockey in high school. I also used to play soccer and it would be fun to be on their team because they’re really good.”
Q: Do you have any pregame superstitions?
KELLEHER: “In high school I would wear the same socks and headband for every game.”
Q: Has anything surprised you about the jump from high school to college lacrosse?
KELLEHER: “Everything. The biggest thing is competing every day at practice. In high school, it isn’t really a competition. In practices here, every girl is always giving their best so you have to also.”
Q: If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
KELLEHER: “Definitely invisibility because I would love to mess with people and see things when they don’t know I’m there.”
Q: Where is your favorite place to hang out on campus?
KELLEHER: “I really like Turner. They have the best food and it’s really peaceful when you eat outside.”
