BeamerBall Mobile Pass ticketing option on sale today

This new mobile-only option provides fans with another affordable opportunity to attend the East Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Virginia games

BLACKSBURG – A unique football ticketing option for Virginia Tech fans goes on sale today, as the Virginia Tech Athletics Department is offering the “BeamerBall Mobile Pass” for purchase for the upcoming football season.

Starting at 10 a.m. this morning, this mobile-only option is available for $225 and includes tickets to four prime home games on what is arguably the best home football schedule in Virginia Tech history. The four games included in the BeamerBall Mobile Pass option are the East Carolina (Sept. 15), Notre Dame (Oct. 6), Georgia Tech (Oct. 25) and Virginia (Nov. 23) games.

The process to use this pass is simple. After purchasing and registering for the BeamerBall Mobile Pass, one needs to visit hokiesmobilepass.com to opt in for text message reminders. Then the ticketholder receives the tickets conveniently delivered to his/her mobile device via text message approximately 24 hours before each game. The ticketholder accepts the tickets, and once that happens, a barcode emerges and that gets scanned at the gate as the ticketholder enters Lane Stadium.

Fans may purchase as many passes as desired – while supplies last until the April 17 deadline. All passes purchased in one transaction will have seats together for each specific game.

Fans are reminded that the BeamerBall Mobile Pass cannot be re-sold. Only the person who purchases the tickets may use the pass, though he/she can share tickets with guests by tapping the transfer button located below the barcode and sending the link to the guest(s).

In addition, fans are reminded that the seat locations vary from game to game with the BeamerBall Mobile Pass. This allows fans to experience Lane Stadium from different vantage points each game.

Fans who wish to lock in seats for the 2018 season may do so by purchasing a season ticket, which also go on sale to the general public Monday morning at 10 a.m. Season ticket purchasers will not know their seat locations at this moment, but will be contacted by a ticket office representative in June to go over those options.
