BLACKSBURG – With arguably the best home football schedule in school history – a seven-game slate that features visits from four teams that played in bowl games, including Notre Dame’s first ever trip to Blacksburg – the Virginia Tech Athletics Department began its 2018 football season ticket renewal process today at 10 a.m.
The 2018 home schedule includes games against William & Mary (Sept. 8), East Carolina (Sept. 15), Notre Dame (Oct. 6), Georgia Tech (Thurs., Oct. 25), Boston College (Nov. 3), Miami (Nov. 17), and Virginia (Fri., Nov. 23).
All 2017 season ticket holders are eligible to renew, with current Hokie Club members who did not purchase season tickets this past season also being eligible to purchase. The deadline to renew/purchase is March 16. Hokie Club members and those interested in scholarship seating areas (see map in top right corner) also need to be mindful of the March 31 deadline for Hokie Scholarship Fund gifts.
The season ticket price for the upcoming season is $400 per season ticket – an increase from last season because of the additional home game. However, the price for the tickets on a per-game basis is actually reduced from the 2017 price. In addition, season ticket holders receive the best value in ticket pricing, saving anywhere from 20-80 percent when compared to purchasing a ticket to each game individually (pending location).

For the first time ever, athletics department officials are offering a payment plan in which season ticket holders can make payments for season tickets in installments of 25 percent of the total ticket amount. The first payment would be due at the time of purchase/renewal, with the second, third and final payments coming on March 30, April 30 and May 30, respectively.
Other benefits for season ticket holders are:
• Hokie Club Priority Points
• Access to individual game, mini plans, and postseason tickets prior to the public (if available, based on Hokie Club priority)
• Service from one’s personal season ticket representative
• Messages on the video scoreboard during home games (contact ticket representative)
• Discount at shop.hokiesports.com (to be sent via email in fall)
• Guarantee one’s seat to all seven home games, including matchups with Notre Dame, Miami, Virginia and a Thursday night tilt with Georgia Tech
Other ticket options could be available for the upcoming season, including the new BeamerBall Mobile Pass – a mobile-only ticket option that provides a ticket to four home games (Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Virginia and East Carolina) for just $225 – mini plans, and individual game tickets, pending availability. Hokie Club members will receive priority access to the mini plan and individual game ticket on-sale dates.
The BeamerBall Mobile pass will go on sale April 2, with supplies being limited. Sales will continue until April 17, or until sold out. Seat locations for this option vary from game to game. Those who purchase this option receive tickets digitally to one’s mobile device in the days prior to each game. These tickets are non-transferable.
Two mini plans will go on sale Aug. 1, pending availability. The Orange plan includes the matchup with Notre Dame and two other games of the customer’s choosing for $225, while the Maroon plan combines the Miami game and two others of the customer’s choosing for $185.
On Aug. 20, individual game tickets and “Fan Four Packs” go on sale, pending availability. The Fan Four Pack includes four tickets to the Hokies’ home opener against William & Mary for just $100. Additional tickets may be added to the plan for $25 each. Individual game tickets start at $45, depending on the game. For individual game ticket pricing, please view the map in the top right corner.
