Brown played nine games during the 2017 season for Seattle after being traded from Houston prior to trade deadline. The former Tech standout is among seven Seahawks selected to the Pro Bowl this season. He’s the first Seattle offensive lineman to earn that distinction since Max Unger did it in 2013.

Brown, 32, brought not just talent, but also experience to a young Seahawks line after joining the team in Week 9, and the Seahawks are expecting even more out of him in 2018 with a full offseason and training camp with the team. Seahawks’ head coach Pete Carroll said Brown’s leadership will be “an instrumental factor… The expertise that Duane Brown brings to us is extraordinary, and we need it.”
A four-year letterman for Tech from 2004-07, he played in 53 career games (40 starts) with the Hokies under Frank Beamer as the squad compiled a 42-11 overall record and claimed a pair of ACC titles. The 12-year NFL veteran entered the league as a first-round pick (26th overall) of Houston in 2008. He came to Blacksburg after a stellar prep career at Richmond’s Hermitage High School.
