Quincy Patterson II to play in Blue-Grey All-American Bowl

Tech signee will represent the East tonight at AT&T Stadium

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech signee QB Quincy Patterson II will be representing the East team in tonight’s Blue-Grey All-American Bowl. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET on Jan. 22 at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Last week, Patterson played in that same stadium last week as a member of Team USA as the American U-19 squad defeated Canada by a 47-7 margin.

The East is coached by longtime NFL player George Teague, who currently serves as head coach at John Paul II Catholic in Plano, Texas. After starring at the University of Alabama, Teague entered the NFL as a first-round pick of Green Bay in 1993 and played in 133 regular season games with the Packers, Cowboys and Dolphins.

Blue-Grey Football was established in 1989 by Gus Bell and his son, Erik. Together, they established Blue-Grey Football to help prep prospects from all over the country receive national exposure and increase their chances to secure a college scholarship.

Patterson played for head coach Matthew Erlenbaugh at Solorio Academy in Chicago. This past summer, Patterson was the quarterback MVP at Nike’s The Opening Regional en route to earning an invitation to participate in Elite 11, the nation’s premier quarterback competition, in Beaverton, Oregon. As a junior at Solorio Academy, Patterson threw for 1,359 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,146 yards and 20 touchdowns.
