RB Trey Edmunds records his first NFL TD for Saints

Saints 47, Bills 10
RB Trey Edmunds registered a 41-yard TD run as New Orleans registered its seventh straight win. Edmunds carried the ball a season-high times nine times for 48 yards and his first career touchdown as the Saints piled up 298 rushing yards on the day. QB Tyrod Taylor completed nine of 18 passes for 56 yards with one touchdown, while also carrying the ball three times for 56 yards for the Bills. TE Logan Thomas didn’t register any catches for Buffalo.

Buccaneers 15, Jets 10
DE Darryl Tapp and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended their five-game losing streak with a 15-10 win against the N.Y. Jets. Tapp made his second game appearance for the Buccaneers after recently signing with Tampa Bay. He didn’t disappoint, getting two tackles 1.0 sack and a quarterback hurry against the Jets. A product of Deep Creek High School, the Portsmouth, Virginia native has played in 164 career NFL games since entering the league as a second-round draft choice of Seattle in 2006.

Packers 23, Bears 16
CB Kyle Fuller and the Chicago Bears fell to NFC North rival Green Bay Packers. Fuller recorded five tackles and two pass deflection on the day. He is currently second on the team in solo tackles with 40. QB Jerod Evans is a member of the Packers practice squad.

Vikings 38, Redskins 30
S DeAngelo Hall, CB Kendall Fuller and the Washington Redskins fell to the No. 5 overall defense of the Minnesota Vikings. Fuller had four tackles on the day while Hall also contributed with three tackles. Tech Alum Torrian Gray serves as the Redskins’ secondary coach.

Seahawks 22, Cardinals 16
S Kam Chancellor, T Duane Brown and the Seattle Seahawks defeated head coach Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals. Chancellor had arguably his best game of the season recording 10 tackles, one pass deflection, one forced fumble and a safety in the win. Former Hokies’ S Nick Sorenson serves as the secondary coach for the Seahawks, while Nick Rapone serves as the defensive backs coach for the Cardinals’ staff. T Vinston Painter is a member of the Cardinals practice squad.

49ers 31, Giants 21
S Antone Exum, Jr. and the San Francisco 49ers defeated the N.Y. Giants. With the victory, the 49ers ended their nine-game losing streak and picked up their first win of the season as Exum made his debut with the team after going to training camp with Minnesota.

Rams 33, Texans 7
The No. 3 offense of the L.A. Rams defeated the visiting Houston Texans. With the win, the Rams extend their winning streak to four games. FB Sam Rogers is a member of the Rams’ practice squad.

Carolina 45, Dolphins 21
The Miami Dolphins fell to the Carolina Panthers. WR Isaiah Ford is on IR for the Dolphins after suffering an injury during the preseason.
